This fellowship allowed her to gain in-depth knowledge and experience in cancer pain management, a crucial area in pain medicine.

Dr. Sathi-Welsch's commitment to providing comprehensive pain management solutions led her to further expand her expertise in non-malignant pain. As part of her Pain Management Fellowship, she underwent specialized training at Baylor and University of Texas hospitals, concentrating on non-malignant pain management.

Recognizing the importance of holistic approaches to pain management, Dr. Meeru Sathi-Welsch also received training in acupuncture for physicians under the guidance of Dr. Joseph Helms at the University of California, Los Angeles. This additional skill set enhances her ability to provide well-rounded care to her patients.

As an esteemed member of several professional organizations, Dr. Sathi-Welsch stays at the forefront of advancements in pain management. She offers MLS Laser therapy in her practice which is a non-invasive treatment modality for chronic pain.

She has had affiliations with the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Pain Society, the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists, the Medical Society of the State of New York, and the Suffolk County Medical Society. 

Dr. Meeru Sathi-Welsch's dedication to education and academic excellence is evident in her role as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at Weill-Cornell Medical College in New York, NY. Through this position, she shares her expertise and mentors the next generation of medical professionals, contributing to the advancement of pain management as a whole.
